History Reborn
The term “Cape Cod House” was used as early as 1800. It is believed that then Yale College president, Timothy Dwight, coined the term when visiting the Cape, but such lore is debatable. What is known is that the tough, stalwart angles of the Cape home was designed to weather the elements and became extremely popular. By 1740, such houses had been built throughout most of New England, and also on New York’s Long Island.
Today, the classic Cape home lives on, and with the dawn of the 1800s, soon sat alongside Gambrels, Garrisons, Salt Boxes, Federals, Colonials, and stunning Victorians and Greek Revivals.

While many people want to pick the lot and then pick the house they want on it, our goal is to maximize the beauty and design of every home on each lot – a true individual piece of architectural art that reflects the landscape.

HOW LONG DOES CONSTRUCTION TAKE?
